Be a part of the 2010 Pa Hero Walk and help our injured service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. You will not only be helping our veterans, but you will be building a memory for a lifetime.

You can take part in a very rewarding experience and walk a portion of the 2010 Pa Hero Walk from Philadelphia to Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania.

We are in the planning stages of the 2010 Pa Hero Walk. The plan is to leave the Philadelphia Art Museum on June 12th of 2010, and take 14 days to walk across the state and to finish in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania on  June 26.  Click here for more information about the walk.  Click here to donate or register  for the 2010 Pa Hero Walk.

WHAT IT IS FOR

The "PA. HERO WALK" was organized by a small group of patriots in western Pennsylvania to help spread the awareness of the Wounded Warrior Project in this country. You may get more information on the WWP by visiting www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

  Our first walk began in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 21, 2009, and ended on July 4, 2009. On this walk fourteen people took part in the entire 342 while many more joined along the way. There were over 400 people that walked the last 12 mile leg that ended in New Kensington, Pa.  The 2009 Pa Hero Walk generated over $60,000 in donations.

Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 to support the WWP and their efforts in helping our physically and psychologically injured returning heroes. Our group is now accepting monetary donations through this site for 2010, for which all proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. We are also accepting IN-KIND donations such as lodging, meals, bottled water and any other necessities to enable our group to walk the 342 mile coarse in 2010. You can also become a major business sponsor where the Pa Hero Walk will place your name on our website, shirts and even on our motor home, depending on the level of sponsorship. These donations can be made or more information given by contacting Al Pulice at 412-862-1672 or by email at alpulice@comcast.net
